I haven't had the chance to just relax from AnimeFEST because of a lot of things...

First of all, I would like to say my peace about Samantha "Shelley" Nance aka . I know I didn't know her that well, and this may seem silly, but the news of her death completely shocked me to the core. I first talked with her at A-kon 20 this year, when I was wearing my Kai costume from the video game, Heavenly Sword. She was so estatic about my costume that I was completely touched and in awe of her compassion and enthusiasum. She is probably the nicest person that I have ever met. That quality about her shown through immediately after meeting her, and to see that so quickly after just a few exchanges of words (with a complete stranger no less!) touched me deeply.

Just last Monday, we were talking about her costume from the Persona 3 game that will be out on the PSP soon. Shelley was so happy that I knew who she was cosplaying from too! She had the headphones, the card, and everything! The first cosplayer that I have seen cosplay that specific character! We talked for almost an hour just about the convention and how much fun it was. Before I had to leave, I was able to take a picture of her and other persona people, and I am just so thankful that I had those brief moments with her; those moments have already been imprinted in my memory forever... Its just so hard to imagine that someone that was so real, so alive and so incredible had their life brutally taken away by someone so selfish and evil...

I hope whoever destroyed this beautiful girl's life feels the unbearable weight of her untimely death on his/her shoulders forever. I do not have to judge because God will serve His justice upon her killer. I have no doubt in my soul about that whatsoever, and I will quietly await his/her demise for the horrible deed they have done...

I just want everyone of my friends AND aquiantances to know something. In case one day I may not be here tomorrow, please please know that I care about each and everyone of you. We may have had our differences; we may not know each other well, but I want you to KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT that I care for you.


I apologize for this long journal entry about something most people have no idea about, but I just had to let it out and say my peace about a girl who had a profound affect on me. Shelley deserved to live out her life, and she deserves to know how much of an impact she had on me.
